As a Senior Business Manager, you will play a huge role in driving growth across all categories. Our team holds end-to-end responsibility to launch and scale up categories, by ensuring the right selection, competitive pricing, and good quality.
Each category team has Senior Business Managers/Business Managers and a group of Assistant Business Managers and key Account Managers. We are looking to hire a leader to lead a group of portfolios in the Grocery division. Within the business team, you'll closely work with the category marketing team, pricing team, quality team, and other category teams. Beyond this, you will also work closely with Product, Supplier Growth, User Growth, and Fulfillment & Experience teams.

About the Role
As a part of the Category Team, you would own the Supply for certain Category/Categories. Devise, plan and execute Price improvement initiatives. Ensure availability of products for respective categories. Devise quality control means to ensure appropriate product quality for customers. Work on Risk Mitigation by diversifying the seller base.
What you will you do
- Responsible for growing the Sourcing & Seller Development function for certain Category/ Categories by identifying and growing Suppliers to meet Business Plans.
- Act as a specialist for his/her Categories - Market Intelligence, Data Analytics, Contract Management, Support for tools like eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Procurement Master Data.
- Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency, at the same time develop alternate sources and risk mitigation strategies.
- Contract and price negotiations with suppliers and ensuring setup of contracts with the right checks and balances.
- Work closely with the category sell side team ensuring that required sales mix is maintained for the brands & categories you manage.
- Demonstrate best practices and process optimization in Buying including range planning, assortment architecture, cost negotiation, buying merchandise, and in-season trading.
What you will need
- Proven experience (5-8 years) in Sourcing & Seller Management – Grocery Preferred
- Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management
- Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with on-ground team members
- Data-driven approach towards problems, attention to detail, and high commitment to timelines
