Senior Manager, Learning & Development

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Learning & Development to lead our organization's enablement initiatives and drive employee growth, engagement, and performance. This role involves the development and measurement of enablement programs to improve and optimize knowledge, behavior, and skills for high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader passionate about creating innovative solutions to complex learning and performance needs.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Learning Strategy:  Develop and implement innovative learning approaches using a variety of modalities and leading-edge tools to deliver consistent, effective learning experiences that adhere to instructional design principles.  

  • Program Development: Manage the strategy, design, development, and implementation of a variety of learning programs, including employee onboarding, professional development, and technical skills training. 

  • Global Enablement: Partner to create and implement global enablement strategies to support a diverse employee base, ensuring alignment with regional needs. 

  • Process Development: Collaborate to develop consistent processes to engage with the business, intake needs, and effectively partner across the organization to deliver robust learning and performance solutions. 

  • Project Management: Utilize strong project management skills to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Performance Improvement: Implement performance improvement strategies to analyze performance gaps, identify root causes, and design solutions to improve results.  

  • Change Management:  Utilize change management principles to create effective solutions to help drive the organization’s transformation and performance goals. 

  • Evaluation and Measurement: Utilize data-driven insights to continuously iterate and improve enablement programs to maximize impact and engagement.  

  • Learning Technology: Partner to manage and optimize the organization's learning management system (LMS) and other learning technologies. 

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of learning professionals to strategically align learning and performance initiatives with organizational goals and drive business success. Maintain the highest standards by overseeing the application of proven instructional design principles and consulting best practices.  

  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to identify critical needs and deliver high-impact learning and performance solutions. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, including program design, delivery, and evaluation. 

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles. 

  • Experience with a variety of learning modalities, including e-learning, virtual classrooms, and in-person training. 

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills. 

  • Strong writing and organizational skills. 

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Experience managing an LMS. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education, Organizational Development or related field. 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Creative thinker with the ability to entertain while educating. 

  • Experience developing technical content for both technical and non-technical audiences.  

  • LMS implementation experience.  

  • Change management expertise. 

  • Human performance improvement knowledge. 

  • Certification in Human Performance Improvement, Design Thinking, Change Management or similar area of expertise. 

  • Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Organizational Development, or related field preferred. 

DOE, annual salary of $130K - $155K  plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401k, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience, education and location.
