Our product

Float is Canada’s first modern financial institution built to help Canadian businesses grow. We’re making finance more accessible and saving businesses time and money, while empowering them with capital and disrupting the multi-trillion dollar global B2B finance industry. Backed by some of the best venture capital investors in the world, including Tiger Global, Golden Ventures, and Susa Ventures, we’re looking for pioneers to help us achieve our vision.

About the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing

We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Marketing Manager to join Float, a team that’s building the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams. The primary focus of the role will be on achieving rapid customer acquisition growth by planning and executing campaigns and events. Channels include (but are not limited to) ABM campaigns, lead generation events and conferences, field marketing and supporting the execution of Float’s brand campaigns. This role reports to Float’s Growth Marketing Lead and works cross functionally with our Product Marketing, Brand, Sales and Customer Success teams.

As the Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing at Float you will:

  • Own the end to end planning and execution of creative marketing campaigns that attract and meaningfully engage our target customers, while learning and quickly iterating to generate strong pipeline and revenue
  • Own and execute Float’s event strategy, leveraging both sponsored and owned events to build awareness of Float and generate pipeline, working in tandem with your sales and customer success counterparts
  • Launch innovative multi-channel ABM campaigns that reach the right targets, capture their interest, and contribute to Float’s overall pipeline and growth objectives
  • Own and optimize campaign performance by adapting strategies based on insights and industry trends. Measure, analyze, learn and iterate on campaign tactics, using data to assess success metrics, goal attainment, ROI, and areas for improvement.
  • Test and scale additional growth marketing tactics, as we invest in new channels to drive growth

Requirements

You’ll be great in this role if:

  • You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for 5-7 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with a bachelor’s degree (though that’s not required). You have previously been accountable to and successful in owning marketing campaign results, and can operate at both the strategy and execution level as needed.
  • You’re motivated by testing and learning. You don’t have all the answers but you do know how to find them. You’re closely aligned with a “test and find out” mindset and understand how to get the insight out of your results.
  • You understand (and love) the marketing funnel. You’re familiar with “TOFU, MOFU, BOFU” and understand how to align different tactics to different stages of the funnel.
  • You’re curious to understand the ‘why’. Scrappy and voracious, you want to know the ‘why’ behind every answer. You’re a curious thinker who can combine quantitative thinking with great creativity. Finding unique and novel ways to work through obstacles is fun for you.
  • You’ve got the creative skills. We’re looking for someone who could sub in for a designer in a pinch (doesn’t need to be perfect) and who is comfortable writing their own copy.

This role won’t be a fit if:

  • You prefer a highly structured work environment
  • You are not super detail oriented
  • You are not comfortable working collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • You are not comfortable with ambiguity, iteration or a fast-moving environment
  • You are uncomfortable with receiving and giving direct feedback
  • You are uncomfortable with change
  • You aren’t resilient
  • You have an ego
  • You aren’t super passionate about helping Float build the best business finance platform for Canadian companies and teams

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
