Position: Lead Project Manager
What You'll Do:
- Develop efficient project and program management processes and tracking mechanisms to ensure year-on-year KPI improvement in cost, quality, time, and resources for Coupang construction projects.
- Hire, coach, mentor, and develop engineering project managers, providing clear direction to achieve both short-term and long-term construction goals.
- Plan project resources and level-load across multiple projects.
- Lead discussions with procurement and leadership to develop vendors, contractors, and expand Coupang's construction vendor base in Taiwan.
- Manage multiple material flow and installation schedules for concurrent projects.
- Develop construction and cost benchmarks to align with Coupang global standards.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned programs, projects, or sub-tasks.
- Fully manage and track Taiwan permitting processes in construction, acting as a key liaison between consultants, legal, and EHS teams.
- Drive decisions with clear leadership guidance on program-related risks impacting go-live, assigning tasks to PMs to implement mitigations.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including significant milestones and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
- Possess a broad technical background and the ability to "roll up sleeves" and jump in if needed.
- Drive approvals and full stakeholder alignment for design development and construction plans from design to go-live.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, HVAC, MEP, Fire Safety, IT Network & Server Room, Industrial, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of complex project management experience.
- Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder management, aligning business strategy with infrastructure/capacity long-term planning cycles.
- Experience developing and managing large project budgets.
- Proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Basic working experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet organizational capacity needs.
- Extensive experience in project management and implementation with a proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to success.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience launching new logistics centers, factories, or large facilities (including equipment deployment and management of all related processes).
- Construction safety and management qualifications such as OSHA, IOSH, CMOSH.
- Certified Project Management qualification (PMP, Prince2, or other).
- Advanced CAD skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English and Chinese.
