Senior Manager, Hospitality Operations:
The LA28 Commercial Hospitality team is leading a think-different approach to modernizing the Olympic and Paralympic hospitality experience for stakeholders and fans through unparalleled access to VIP, once-in-a-lifetime packages. Our department lives within the Games Planning & Delivery Group. The Commercial Hospitality team is responsible for creating a robust and integrated commercial hospitality strategy that supports our key stakeholders and operational needs while securing a key revenue stream for LA28.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Hospitality, the Senior Manager of Hospitality Operations will be responsible for overseeing all operational and event production planning for LA28 Hospitality. In partnership with LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, On Location,
they will help drive the creation, planning, and execution of the hospitality operations and event production for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Additionally, this role will liaise between internal departments, external stakeholders, partners, and others to develop and implement the hospitality operations for the Games.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing event production at large-scale events while considering operational complexities to ensure objectives are met while contributing to commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as the operational lead for LA28 Hospitality, liaising with both internal and external team members to ensure clear communication, project management, and integration between On Location and LA28
- Develop a comprehensive staffing and strategic growth plan for the hospitality operations department from present through Games time
- Manage relationships between IOC, On Location and LA28 Functional Areas (FAs) to deliver hospitality operations
Operational & Event Production Management
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive hospitality business plan
- Develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive project timeline for event production, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all project milestones.
- Collaborate with key LA28 FAs and On Location to identify all in-venue and off-venue hospitality spaces, creating detailed operational requirements and support
- Develop operational readiness and delivery plans for hospitality across all venues, validating maps & plans, drawings, staffing plans, and other essential components
Commercial Success
- Collaborate with On Location and key FAs to identify and deliver key assets for the hospitality program to support commercial and operational needs
- Oversee development of Hospitality Space Agreement, driving consensus on cost and responsibility matrices
- Support development of go-to-market strategies and ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of programs tailored to key stakeholders including partners, IOC/IPC, federations and others
- Develop opportunities for monetization through hospitality of LA28 assets (new and existing)
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Establish close working relationships with key operational FAs such as Security and Transportation, to ensure revenue maximization while supporting the overall Games operational and strategic plan
- Work with the IOC and IPC to understand all hospitality operational requirements
Expectations:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with 4 years of leadership experience in the sport or live event industry
- Games experience preferred
- Event Production experience and/or Venue Management experience preferred
- Proven experience with event hospitality and ticketing
- Impeccable customer-service attitude, even when under pressure
- Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships
- Experience working with senior executives across multiple functional areas
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of people development and engagement
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), including experience prioritizing accessibility principles in strategy development.
- Experience leveraging creativity and innovation to create unparalleled event experiences for diverse groups of stakeholders and attendees

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required or equivalent work experience
Submission Requirements:
The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $130,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
