Senior Manager GTM and Financial Services

As the Senior Manager - GTM and financial services you will have a broad scope of influence across the Payments and Ecosystem portfolio. Your strategic vision and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of this dynamic and growing part of Xero’s business. You will lead the development and execution of financial strategies, drive profitability, and ensure sustainable growth across the Payments and Ecosystem portfolio.

Reporting into the Sr. Director of Strategic Finance, you will oversee sophisticated data-driven analyses and interact with underlying system data to provide insights that support effective pricing strategies, helping Xero’s customers achieve their goals while driving profitability in these fast-growing businesses. Your impact will be evident through improved forecasting accuracy, insightful financial analysis, and strategic financial planning. You will track progress against goals and drive course corrections as needed, ensuring the Payments and Ecosystem businesses achieve their objectives. 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of progressive financial experience within a commercial finance/ FP&A team.
  • Experience within a Payments company and/or a SaaS company is highly desirable.
  • Fundamental understanding of data techniques (SQL, Python etc.) is critical.
  • Extensive experience with financial systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, business intelligence tools, and corporate performance management software.
  • Additional experience that will be viewed favourably but is not a “must have” includes pricing experience and understanding of government regulations for payment methods and processing systems

  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and the levers to drive value, with a focus on maximizing customer lifetime value and reducing churn.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to synthesize information and highlight critical activities, decisions, and outcomes, with a focus on driving business growth.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn, ask questions, and leverage knowledge to add value to stakeholders, with a focus on staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Comfort with navigating ambiguity and owning the path to a successful outcome, with a focus on managing risk and uncertainty.
  • Highly effective communicator and influencer, capable of shifting from technical analysis to creating presentations with compelling narratives, with a focus on engaging and persuading stakeholders.
