We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to oversee the revenue function, ensuring accurate forecasting, client coordination, and addressing management queries related to revenue and client aging. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing the invoicing process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and delivering revenue forecasts aligned with business growth. This role will be critical in driving the revenue strategy while resolving client-related issues in a timely and professional manner. The Senior Manager is expected to grow into a Finance lead role within the next three years.
This position also requires strong system development knowledge, a fast-learning ability, and the mindset to work from the grassroots level to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management:
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle from invoicing to collection.
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue based on client contracts and business trends.
- Provide insights and analytics for future revenue growth opportunities.
Client Coordination:
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for client-related financial matters, including invoicing and payment inquiries.
- Address and resolve issues related to invoice formatting and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth communication and financial dealings with clients.
Aging and Collections:
- Monitor and manage client receivables and aging reports.
- Provide timely reports to management on overdue accounts and collaborate with the collection team to resolve delinquent accounts.
- Ensure proper escalation and follow-up on aged receivables.
Management Reporting:
- Respond to senior management queries on revenue performance, client aging, and financial health.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, focusing on revenue analytics and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key financial metrics.
Accounting and Compliance:
- Ensure that all revenue and client transactions are accounted for correctly and in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist with audits and ensure internal controls are followed in all revenue-related processes.
Revenue Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to create detailed revenue forecasts based on historical data and business pipelines.
- Provide scenario-based analysis for potential client growth and risk assessments.
System Development:
- Work with IT and finance teams to improve financial systems and reporting tools.
- Identify and implement system enhancements to optimize invoicing, revenue recognition, and client management processes.
- Support the automation of financial reporting and revenue tracking to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- 8-10 years of experience in finance with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing revenue functions.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting standards.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial system development and improvement.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and business processes swiftly.
- Willingness to work at the grassroots level to drive efficiency and improve processes.
