Job Summary

  • As our Senior Manager, Field Marketing for UK, Northern Europe and Middle East for the Public Cloud Business Unit, you will lead the development and execution of marketing programs that support our sales strategies and goals resulting in pipeline.  You will directly manage a team of Field Marketers and Marketing Programs Specialists for the region and lead them in executing measurable programs for pipeline growth.  You will work closely with the region’s Sales leader and leadership team to gain their input for planning and to identify opportunities for pipeline generation in alignment with the BU’s strategic priorities.  In addition, you will work closely with Rackspace Technology’s global marketing team including digital, campaigns, and events to execute the marketing plan across the region.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive B2B technology marketing experience. They will enjoy and excel in creative thinking, innovating, and delivering measurable results that help drive awareness, grow the pipeline and win business. They will have strong communication skills and can balance developing a strategic marketing plan with executing, while leveraging the support of other teams such as product marketing, digital, campaigns, analyst relations, PR and events.  They also develop strong relationships with the sales team and work in partnership with them to deliver growth. This role will report to the VP, Marketing for our Public Cloud Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic field marketing plan for Rackspace Technology’s UK, Northern Europe and Middle East region, working closely with the sales leaders to ensure the plan is aligned with the sales objectives and growth targets for the region.
  • Lead the Public Cloud Field Marketing team for the region, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.  Leverage the team to shape the marketing plans for each country within the region and to execute the programs locally.
  • Collaborate closely with Rackspace Technology sales leaders to ensure alignment between sales and marketing strategies and to support the sales pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns, events, and programs that effectively engage customers and prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with the content, digital, campaigns, event, and public relations teams on developing and executing strategy at each stage of the marketing funnel, e.g. top, middle and bottom.  Collaborate with these teams to drive required content and assets for the successful execution of planned marketing programs, e.g. blogs, white papers, client stories, sell sheets, videos, press release, webinars, events and speaking engagements, and other marketing and sales enablement assets.
  • Identifies and understands key personas for assigned geographies, drawing on quantitative and qualitative data from the business and external sources. Ensure positioning and messaging is aligned across internal stakeholders.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, leveraging insights to optimize future campaigns and achieve maximum ROI.
  • Manage the overall field marketing budget for the region, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to high-impact activities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt strategies and tactics as necessary.
  • ​Drive cross-functional collaboration within the organization to ensure cohesive messaging and customer experiences across all touchpoints.
  • ​Champion the Rackspace brand, ensuring consistency with global branding guidelines while tailoring approaches to meet local market needs.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B technology marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within field marketing or a related area.
  • Understands cloud technology and the players from either direct marketing experience and/or adjacent experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in UK, Northern Europe and the Middle East.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing through impact and influence diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the EMEA market dynamics, customer segments, and sales cycles. Experience in other markets across the globe is a plus.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Ability to travel as required for the role.
