ABOUT POSITION

Katalon is looking for a visionary Director of Quality Engineering to lead our quality initiatives in the Vietnam tech hub. In this role, you will spearhead efforts to ensure the delivery of exceptional software products and services. Reporting to the VP of Engineering and with a dotted line to the Chief Quality Architect, you will play a central role in shaping our quality engineering strategies and fostering a culture of excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead teams across multiple work streams on complex initiatives and programs.
• Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering leaders to effectively scale team delivery for our platform.
• Advise and educate cross-functional teams on industry-leading approaches to software quality.
• Propel the evolution of test automation and quality engineering practices within our organization.
• Strategize and execute a robust hiring strategy to support the ongoing growth of our organization.
• Oversee the career development, growth, and performance evaluation of quality engineers within the organization.

Requirements

Must-Have: 

• Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging Test methodologies and principles;
• Demonstrated experience in people leadership, coaching and mentoring of team members;
• 8+ years of prior hands-on experience using automation frameworks and tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright and Appium;
• Experience with modern ecosystems and automated build/deployment pipelines (Jenkins, Github, Azure Pipelines, etc);
• Ability to manage and effectively multitask across a wide range of assignments and issues;
• Demonstrated mindset of continuous learning;
• Good command of English communication and presentation skills;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or equivalent.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in modern technology solutions, consulting, and project delivery;
• Experience with cloud providers such as Kobiton, BrowserStack, and Saucelabs;
• Experience with cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP;
• Knowledge of Data Engineering applications, data platforms, data visualization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
