Senior Manager / Director of Business Operations (IFS Portfolio Companies)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager Business Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of the organizational unit that provides services to our portfolio companies. These services include Software Development, Consulting and Support and BPO/BPM services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of optimizing processes and driving operational excellence, ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.

As the Senior Manager Business Operations, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and building teams to provide above services, streamlining operation workflows, enhancing efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Software Development, Consulting and Support and BPO/BPM services operations: Oversee and help manage all aspects of Software Development, Consulting, Support, and BPO/BPM team operational activities understanding their unique business needs, objectives, and performance expectations, and ensure alignment with operational strategies and service delivery standards.
  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Talent Acquisition:  Collaborate with HR, other relevant departments, and stakeholders in portfolio companies to identify staffing needs, define comprehensive job descriptions, and involve in interview process to attract and select qualified candidates for various service positions.
  • Environment Setup and Onboarding: Facilitate the setting up of new teams, collaborate with IT Operations Management and Service Providers ensuring that teams have the necessary physical and virtual environments to perform their duties effectively. Coordinate and support the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring they have access to required tools, systems, and training.
  • Team building: Take active role in building and developing diverse, high-performing teams by fostering a culture of inclusion and professional growth.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing workflows and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Implement solutions to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to ensure optimal utilization and productivity.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement robust risk management processes to ensure business continuity and resilience.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Invoicing and Financial Management:  Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices related to IT services and resource utilization. Monitor operation expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, internal policies and standards, industry regulations, and client requirements in all aspects of resource management, onboarding, and service delivery. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field
  • Experience in a senior operational role managing Software Development, Consulting, Support, and BPO/BPM functions with a track record of driving operational excellence and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in sectors such as software development, customer service, technical support, back-office operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
