Team Summary

The Consumer Solutions team are responsible for managing and optimizing Credit, Debit and Prepaid portfolios in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. We are looking for someone to work closely with Visa’s portfolios including banks, credit unions and fintech clients to ensure they achieve market leading growth and have the best products in market.

What a Senior Manager, Consumer Solutions - Debit, AUNZSP does at Visa

This role is a member of Visa’s Consumer Solutions team reporting to the Director, Debit and Prepaid Products. This team is focused on maintaining strong relationships with our key clients across Australia and New Zealand, developing an intimate understanding of their business objectives, and providing thought provoking insights into the performance of their portfolios to help inspire and drive opportunity. Your strong initiative and critical thinking, your analytical and communication skills combined with an understanding of payments will ensure that Visa is best positioned to help our clients optimize and grow revenue. This role typically suits an ambitious professional in the banking or technology industry that is looking to expand both their experience and capabilities having come from a Product, Analytics or Consulting backdrop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with key clients to both understand and help them drive their business.
  • Representing Visa at client forums with varying levels of stakeholders (from Executives to Product Managers)
  • Leading benchmarking activity across Visa issuers, including synthesizing results and identifying opportunities for clients to enhance and optimize their portfolios.
  • Lead portfolio insights for the client’s product teams through use of research and Visa analytical tools to make proactive recommendations to clients.
  • Lead product reporting, tool kits and comprehensive case studies demonstrating Visa best practices to leverage for clients.
  • Deliver product changes to market in a timely manner, leading local Visa product development and delivery through rules and waiver processes.
  • Work closely with local and regional colleagues to evolve the overall product and portfolio optimization strategy, as well as provide an understanding of the AUNZSP market context.
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with regards to Value Added Services offered by Visa.

Projects you will be a part of

  • Provide data analysis support for key client engagements, business decision making, market updates and strategy development.
  • Developing new set-plays to guide clients through the portfolio optimisation process.
  • Supporting Strategic Priorities relating to the growth of Visa’s consumer portfolios.

 

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree required with more than five years of related product or portfolio management experience
  • Understanding of the debit card and transaction banking industry and the levers that impact portfolio performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt communication styles to varying audiences (including clients and senior stakeholders).
  • The ability to analyse data, identify trends and construct thought provoking, actionable insights.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive initiatives forward.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Actively promote an environment of inclusion and diversity.


What will also help

  • Payments or related industry experience with product management experience a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Dynamics.
  • Experience in dashboarding & data visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • The ability to deal with ambiguous situations when making decisions or operating in high pressure, time bound situations.
  • Demonstrate energy and positive response when tackling challenging problems and view complicated tasks as engaging or motivating.
