The Brazil Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s issuers, merchants and acquires in Brazil. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability.

The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.

The VCA team is looking for a Senior Manager to join our consulting practice and play a role in delivering high impact strategic projects for Visa’s clients in Brazil.

The potential candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of projects and solutions with Brazil Financial Institutions / Issuing Banks and Acquirers. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop a sustainable relationship with Clients (Brazil Financial Institutions / Issuing Banks / Acquirers) with an ethical, empathetic approach and with the purpose of co-developing and proposing constructive projects.

  • Lead consulting initiatives and contributes to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities in new markets and/or in new flows of payments (e.g B2B, B2G, Agro, Cargo).

  • Identify Client’s pain points aligned with brand strategy, develop, and implement action plans to maximize revenue and client engagement.

  • Lead the gathering and analysis of information, support the formulation and testing of hypotheses to address client business problem.

  • Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.

  • Help develop frameworks, methodologies, processes and required operational enablers to drive business growth and efficiencies

  • Ability to effectively analyze data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meaningful insights and recommendations for clients.

  • Have a strong understanding of the B2B payments market in Brazil, and how banks leverage multiple payment solutions to support their business customers across the small business, mid-market and large market segments.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the covered markets as needed and the ability to work across functions and markets.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Logical, structured thinking, and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in coaching and managing multiple consulting engagements that involve structured problem solving and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
  • Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese (Brazil)
  • A career in business-to-business payments (B2B) (card network, Agro, cross border and domestic account to account) is important. An interest in the future of payments and the change being driven by regulation will also be needed.
  • Experience in banking or credit card sector will be considered a plus
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
