Senior Manager, Brand Activations

MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join the Brand Activations team to deliver client sponsorship marketing programs. The Senior Manager will work across a portfolio of tier-one brands and play an important leadership role across all departments, from providing trusted strategic counsel and ensuring the execution of client programs to growing our business and supporting an engaging agency culture. The Senior Manager will report into the Senior Director, Brand Activations.

You Will:

  • Project Management: Lead the successful execution of client sponsorship marketing plans by working with company partners and following the project management process, from brainstorming to execution and post-event reporting.
  • Creative Strategy: Develop impactful activation marketing campaigns and concepts rooted in strategy and present to clients with influence.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire the growth of direct reports through mentoring, position the team for success through prioritization, delegation, clear instructions, workload balance monitoring, and project management.
  • Financial Management: Ensure accurate delivery of scopes of work, budgets, invoicing and reconciliations
  • Business Development & Admin: Nurture business opportunities from beginning to closure by managing our client relationship, leading the business discovery process, solutions brainstorming, accurate project and retainer scoping, budget development, and client pitches.

  • Team Player & Spirit: Having a team built on a foundation of mutual support and enthusiasm ensures that we are always prepared to help one another to drive our success.
  • 5+ years of related industry experience, including on-site campaign execution
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing or other related field of study, degree/certificate in Sports Management/Marketing would be considered an asset
  • Experience building relationships with clients, properties and company partners
  • Experience developing marketing campaigns and presenting recommendations and concepts to senior leaders
  • Leader with experience inspiring and coaching direct reports
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends & outdoors in a Canadian climate
  • Must be willing to travel and have a valid Ontario driver's license

The salary range for this position is $63,750-85,000. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
