The Role

Life Edit is seeking an experienced Alliance and Project Manager to work on our partnered programs with an internal and external facing component.

The role has responsibility for ensuring that the alliance and operational objectives for partnered projects are reached in line with the jointly developed plans and ensuring that a close collaborative relationship is developed and maintained with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a win-win mindset, is detail-driven and has a proven record in successfully managing alliances and projects and preferable experience from gene therapy ones.

This position will be a core part of the Life Edit team and work closely with scientific leads, subject matter experts, alliance – and project/program management to develop and implement best practices internally and externally. This role reports into the Vice President Alliance Management.

This will be a part-time, 9 month contract role.

 

Here’s What You Will Do 

  • Leading research alliances in a fast-paced environment with the goal to drive joint success and meet or exceed set goals and milestones
  • Proactively manage risks: human, financial and Alliance disputes
  • Develops a fit for purpose governance infrastructure ensure transparent decision-making
  • Develop cross-functional alliance and project plans, track progress to goals
  • Apply alliance and project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects
    • Standardization of internal and external processes, tools, and communication
    • Perform yearly joint Alliance Health Survey
  • Ensure good understanding of contractual obligations, and ensuring compliance with it by both the partner and Life Edit
  • Budget planning and tracking
  • Enable and support information and data exchange between Life Edit and its partners
  • Arrange partnered team meetings using best practices

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree in Life Sciences or MBA preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; 2+ years in an alliance/project/program management role. 
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, effectively work on cross-functional teams, possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of interface with the broader organization, and to build professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders 
  • Exceptional planning, communication, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen and cultural awareness
  • Experience working with MS Project/Smartsheet, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word 
  • Diligence and accuracy with respect to internal and external reporting
  • Excellent presentation, problem solving, risk analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management and resourcing tools skills, including Smartsheet
  • CA-AM certification PMP® certification preferred
