The Decisions Alliance's goal is to enable HelloFresh to build a rapid feedback loop around understanding our customers, finding the best way to communicate with them and utilizing AI/ML capabilities. We're responsible for the company's Communications, Customer Data, Experimentation, and MLOps Platforms. Our team works on a variety of technologies ranging from high throughput, real-time communications systems to deep statistical libraries to large-scale machine learning training pipelines.
The Role
We are hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in our Ad Optimization team inside the Global AI department to help build innovative Machine Learning products which increase the efficiency of HelloFresh’s advertising. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with data scientists to build Machine Learning systems that ensure that their models don’t just look good in a presentation but they are generating and delivering accurate predictions in a production environment.
What you’ll do
- Partner with data scientists and other engineers in a cross-functional team to bring the efficiency of HelloFresh’s digital advertising to the next level.
- Productionize proof-of-concept Machine Learning models by building Machine Learning systems with a focus on maintainability, observability, scalability and stability.
- Ensure that we utilize best practices in Software Engineering such as CI/CD, containerization and tests wherever applicable; This includes both hands-on work and mentoring of team members.
- Drive day-to-day operations for our complex, ambiguous and large scale Machine Learning products by improving our current monitoring and alerting as well as building innovative tools to detect e.g. model drift in the ad optimization domain.
- Collaborate with our business stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption of our Machine Learning products.
What you’ll bring
- A passion for solving complex business problems with machine learning within a fast-paced business environment. Experience with Machine learning for online advertising is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Previous experience with PySpark or compiled languages (e.g. Scala, Go) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with designing and maintaining Machine Learning systems for production use cases including model monitoring and drift detection.
- Pick up new technologies and modeling methodologies quickly while solving actual business problems.
- Interest in working with modern data science tooling such as cloud development, version control, CI/CD, Docker, model registries and a feature store.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
