Senior Liquidity Risk Specialist (f/d/m)

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Risk Team is responsible for all risk management activities in the second line of defense within TR and reports directly to the Managing Directors. The Risk Team is a key partner for the business units helping them to build products and services in alignment with the Risk Appetite defined by the Management. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Take charge of the bank-wide ILAAP Framework including Governance, Quantification Methods, ILAAP Stress Testing Framework and Reporting Framework 
• Being the key counterpart for product teams and treasury for all liquidity related matters
• Analyze and control Trade Republic’s liquidity risk profile on a daily basis and provide insights information for our Management 
• Review and update guidelines and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Ongoing and ad hoc Reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Plan and initial, regular and ad-hoc validations of liquidity risk models 
• Engage with model owners in the 1LoD as well as business and development experts to ensure the liquidity positions are effectively challenged and risk arising from Model deficiencies are identified and addressed
• Deliver model validation analysis and reports in support of senior management and committee review

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education and technical skills:

• Master’s Degree + in Economics, Mathematics, Physics or similar disciplines. Quantitative background is a requirement
• Very good knowledge of the regulatory Requirements 
• Very good knowledge of risk management techniques and risk quantification methods
• Advanced programming skills (e.g. Python, R, C++, Java), experienced with databases (e.g. SQL)

Experience:  

• 5+ Years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the below Fields : 
• ERM/Risk Controlling with a Tier1 Bank or a Fintech in the EU
• FRM advisory or audit for a Tier1 Audit or Advisory Firm 
• Working for banking regulatory or supervisory bodies in the EU
• Experience in liquidity risk management 
• Experience in IRRBB and/or CSRBB is a great advantage

• Efficient team player with a high degree of organizational self-reliance
• Outstanding analytical skill set, high attention to detail and ability to quickly understand new and complex topics
• Great communication skills with the ability to address the needs of different stakeholder types (engineers, senior management, product managers, etc.)
