Title: Senior Linux Systems Admin
Location: Charlottesville, VA (Hybrid | ~3 Days On-site a week)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI eligibility
About this role:
- Rackner is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Admin that will conduct deployments and provisioning on all networks, including containerization, automation and scripting of infrastructure, integration of services, monitoring, of the infrastructure.
- Migration to the MI IC ITE Cloud provides the opportunity to evaluate and potentially re-invent how Army MI delivers IT services and make use of Intelligence data and analytics to meet mission requirements.
- The IC Cloud is currently composed of the IC Government Cloud (ICGovCloud) and commercial cloud services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for the IC.
We are looking for experience with:
- 7+ years; Implementing security principles and administering IT systems
- 3+ years; Linux operating systems, containers, AWS, monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability and network security measures.
- 6+ years; Administering IT systems may substitute for academic degree
- 1+ years; Provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using tools such as terraform
- AWS cert. within the first 30 days of start
What will make you successful:
- Responsible for deployments and provisioning on all networks, including containerization, automation and scripting of infrastructure, integration of services, monitoring, of the infrastructure.
- Develops hardened machine images (e.g. AMI/Azure VM), ensures STIG compliance, and custom services to facilitate security inheritance.
- Knowledge of Linux, AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.

- Bachelor's degree, Information Technology
- Updated AWS Cert.
