Then look no further! The Technology Enablement team at Toast is seeking a Senior Enablement Program Manager to join our vibrant and impactful group within R&D. We need a skilled Senior Enablement Program Manager to spearhead our technical skills enablement program. You'll be the driving force behind empowering our tech team to continuously learn and stay ahead in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Your mission: Develop and execute a global technical skills enablement strategy that fosters growth and success. This role is about creating and managing a program that empowers our team members to develop their skills and reach their full potential. By collaborating with stakeholders to identify skill gaps, you'll curate training and enablement materials and resources that enable the Toast Technology team to excel.

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Own the program: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate our technical skills enablement strategy to drive engineering excellence across Toast Technology. Clearly identify learning objectives for all enablement material. 
  • Collaborate: Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify skill gaps and align training initiatives with business goals.
  • Influence: Engage with leaders to secure buy-in and support for the program and align program initiatives with strategic objectives
  • Assess and enable: Evaluate current and future skill needs, and develop targeted training programs to address them.
  • Build a certification program: Create a system to measure, validate, and recognize skill expertise.
  • Partner with experts: Collaborate with our tech SMEs to develop top-notch training content.
  • Stay ahead of the curve: Keep up with the latest learning trends and technologies, including AI and microlearning.
  • Measure impact: Implement evaluation strategies to demonstrate the effectiveness of our training programs and measure impact against the pre-defined learning objectives.
  • Embrace AI: Explore how AI can enhance our learning initiatives and partner with our AI teams to implement innovative solutions.

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 7+ years of experience in Enablement, L&D or program management in a technical setting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across time zones and cultures.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to gain executive support and align program initiatives with strategic objectives
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience in driving and measuring the success of technical training programs.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into engaging learning materials with clear learning objectives.
  • Expertise in learning measurement and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on both short- and long-term solutions.
  • Passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and explore new tools and trends.
  • Experience with digital credentialing and skills-based platforms.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think creatively about both short and long term solutions
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies with natural curiosity and willingness to learn
