About the Team:
Our unit is responsible for driving innovation within Mendix, as we work on cutting-edge technologies like Shopfloor connectivity or democratizing Generative AI solutions as part of our global R&D organization.

Our local team in Berlin develops innovative solutions so our customers can create smarter applications for shopfloor operators with a great end-user experience.

You’ll help drive digital innovation by:

  • Building something new upon an existing foundation, making stuff up as we go along.
  • Working with early adopters to create an innovative product that brings the physical world to web applications.
  • Working on a platform and we’re in it for the long haul. Thousands of developers and millions of end users across the globe rely on your work and each commit can make a lot of impact.
  • Being thorough, we like to get to the bottom of things; clear answers are more important than deadlines.
  • Dabbling in all sorts of technologies when it takes our fancy. Although we focus on JavaScript / Typescript we sometimes branch out into Java, C#, HTML5 and CSS3. Other tools we use include: Electron, React, Webpack, NodeJS, Jasmine & Jest/Karma.

You’re the innovator we need if:

  • You’re an expert in JavaScript/Typescript/HTML5 and its functional style. You’re a polyglot.
  • You like learning new things and techniques, you pick up new languages and technologies based on tasks at hand.

  • You enjoy the occasional game of table soccer.
  • You’re comfortable working as part of a scrum team.

  • You have experience with React.
  • You have experience with WebSockets.
  • You have experience with Electron and OS integration.
  • You know how to develop accessible web pages.
  • You know how to develop responsive web pages.
  • You know what product development requires, such as setting up a CI/CD pipeline with automated tests and (remote) observability.
