We are looking for an exceptional Senior Java Developer to join our growing Data Integration team. In this role, you will be collaborating with Product Management, CCE and Infrastructure teams to deliver Data Integration features.
Ongoing projects:
Database bridge (work with major databases using JDBC)
Asynchronous queries
Kafka, JMS and RabbitMQ connectivity
Data pipelines (ETL/ELT use cases)
CDC triggers (database change tracking)
Data Insights (analytics and anomaly detection)
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Design and implement components of Workato database connectivity: data connectors, connection pools, request routers, database bridges, etc.
Work with SRE and Infrastructure teams to improve backend reliability and troubleshoot production issues
Design and implement components of Workato messaging connectivity: connectors and message routers for Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ and Amazon SQS
Design and implement components of Workato Data Insights (data analytics)
Perform code and architecture reviews
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-team communication
Write well designed, testable, efficient code
Establish long-term strategy for feature and performance testing
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
10+ years of industry experience.
Experience in building, deploying and troubleshooting production-grade systems.
Proficiency with Core Java.
Experience with Relational Databases, SQL and JDBC (one of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience with test-driven development.
Technical leadership experience.
Experience of working with Docker and other isolation technologies.
Experience of working with Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure providers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud/Heroku).
Experience with automated performance testing is a plus.
Experience in related fields (DevOps, PKI, distributed systems, data replication, etc).
Experience with dynamic languages (Groovy, Ruby, Javascript) is a plus.
Understanding of messaging systems like Kafka and JMS is plus.
Experience in building/deploying REST APIs is a plus.
