Summary of Role
The Senior IT Specialist is responsible for leading our technical support operations by supporting end-users, acting as escalation and managing our desktop infrastructure this includes tools such as Okta, Jamf Pro, Intune, Automox, Zoom and Office365. The Senior IT Specialist will provide guidance and mentoring to the local technical support team, manage IT projects, and focus on providing IT guidance and solutions to complex technical issues and the needs of our business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the on-site technical support team by providing guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level team members and help with implementing best practices in technical support.
- Manage and coordinate IT related projects such as new software/application deployment, hardware and equipment upgrades, and new tool development while coordinating with internal collaborators, cross-functional teams and planning appropriate communications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee equipment procurement processes, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and budgetary constraints.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing updates, recommendations, and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Configure, manage and support a wide range of SaaS applications.
Other Duties:
- Continuous improvement of tools and processes
- Manage IT vendors and procurement processes.
- Travel to other sites may be required.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned as needed on a project or interim basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in an IT Support Role
- Demonstrated experience with technical fundamentals (such as Networking, OS level troubleshooting) and platforms such as Okta, Office365, JAMF Pro, Intune, Zoom, Automox or equivalent tools.
- Project management experience, including the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
