As our new Senior Infrastructure Engineer, your main focus will be to help shape Sinch Business IT Infrastructure & System landscape. Your responsibilities will include four different areas:
Technology engineering
- Pro-actively contribute to architecture strategy & principles together with Sinch Enterprise Architecture Team
- Administrate & configure system & infrastructure technologies such: VPN solution, Office Network, Linux/ Windows servers, cloud infrastructure (AWS, AZURE)
- Embed Sinch infrastructure technology in broader enterprise architecture & network environment
Business/ user support
- Consult application owners and business on infrastructure related requirements
- Provide training and assistance to system users on usage of infrastructure systems and/or applications
- Pro-actively work with network engineers, business and application owners to shape scalable Sinch Business IT infrastructure landscape
Technical support
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for system and infrastructure issues, and you’ll also participate in our on-call rotation schedule.
- Troubleshoot problems across all pieces of infrastructure (servers, Network, cloud, storage)
- Monitor system performance using our tools and take appropriate action when necessary.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role, you are a technical expert and have excellent communication skills. You have a structured and methodical approach to work. The role requires you to have the ability to work independently and take ownership of your own work as well as be a team player. Being able to plan your work and work towards deadlines is also key.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, majority spend in IT infrastructure & engineering
- Experience in a combination of the following technical skills; IT infrastructure, networks and applications engineering, Linux server, database & cloud engineering, Windows server, Cloud and comparable IT infrastructure skills, Technical security topics and industry standards in IT security

The annual starting salary for this position is between $83,000.00 - $125,000.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
