Within the BoT (Bureau of Technology) department, the Platform tribe plays a central role in designing and maintaining the core technical components of our infrastructure, providing key tools, services, and solutions to support the development of our products and engineers. The Developer Experience (DevXP) team, part of this tribe, specifically manages the entire development and deployment chain within the platform for all our engineers.
As a DevOps Engineer within the DevXP team, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure components and deployment tools that underpin our technology ecosystem. You will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of our technology stack while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
What You will do
- Participate in the design and development of toolings, processes and workflow for all engineers at Back Market
- Maintain and evolve the development and deployment tools for the different Backend, Frontend, Mobile & Data projects
- Collaborate with various teams, such as Product teams, Staff Engineers, ICs, or QA, as well as the Frontend Chapter to understand needs and provide tailored solutions (Release, Testing, Workflow, etc)
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving sessions within the team and for all DevServices or Platform teams

- Propose and implement continuous improvements to optimize existing tooling functionalities
- Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security issues in collaboration with the SRE team or Platform Chapter
- Optimize the performance and scalability of components to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience
- Lead workshops and present at Platform Chapter meetings
Your Background
- Strong knowledge of Python, Bash or Go AND Infrastructure tools as Kubernetes, CI/CD and Cloud computing ( GCP/AWS)
- Experience with Frontend languages and frameworks (JavaScript, TypeScript, VueJs)
- Strong interest and senior experience in CI/CD, Release topics, and the DevOps world in general
- Knowledge of software architecture principles, service integration, and development best practices
- Leadership skills to manage projects, and guide and motivate teams towards common goals
- Share knowledge and support teams, tribes, or every Back Maker
- Ability to convince and influence stakeholders to adopt best practices and proposed solutions
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
