We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our global team working from our office located in Berlin.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Identify, recommend, and implement an effective HR strategy aligned to business objectives and cultural norms.
- Identify solutions to support high growth and ensure organizational design is in alignment for the growth.
- Identification of trends and causes of turnover and proactive implementation of strategies to enhance retention.
- Integration of programs and practices across assigned groups to enhance consistency, effectiveness, and champion best practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, and adherence to local regulations and policies.
- Partner with legal counsel to ensure that employment practices and actions are compliant while meeting the needs of the business.
- Participates in and provides oversight for harmonization activities.
- Participates in ad hoc global HR projects.
- Partner with the VP, Talent Acquisition and members of the team on Talent Acquisition programs, process, reporting, and analysis
- Ensure that an effective new hire process is designed and executed with the goal for a high quality, scalable process.
- Provide oversight for the overall employee relations process including coaching the HR staff to manage general day-to-day queries from staff, carry out objective investigations, performance improvements, and advice and risk assessments.
- Lead sensitive employee relations issues and bring to a successful conclusion.
- Provide leadership for culture management for the business unit during the high growth and acquisition processes.
- Partner with the assigned leadership team with the localization of the culture project initiatives
- Direct manage and ensure collaboration within the regional HR team with regard to the planning and execution of work activities.
- Provide on-going feedback, development and coaching of regional HR team including via annual performance reviews.
- Support the on-going performance management program(s)
- Develop and implement harmonized career ladders across assigned groups.
- Identify training needs for business unit staff and individual executive coaching needs & partner with Talent Management / L&D to deliver solutions.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and career development.
- Organize & plan training as required.
- Some travel to other offices and business meetings may be required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent field of study
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a Human Resources role
- Experience of working for an International organisation
Other Required:
- Exceptional organizational, customer service, interpersonal communication skills with the flexibility to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment and the ability to actively participate and sometimes lead cross functional teams
- Knowledge regional country employment regulations
- Extensive Works Council experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in all areas of HR to include but not be limited to, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations and compliance
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
- Must be able to read, write, speak, fluently and comprehend the English language
Preferred:
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification or equivalent HR certification
- Experience supporting organizations within a decentralized or matrix style structure
- Previous experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience working with SAP or similar HRMS system
