Senior Graphic Designer - Hybrid

MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join the Creative Team! Individual reports to Associate Creative Director, Design. Role is hybrid.  

This role is a hybrid opportunity that requires a local commutable distance to the HQ Costa Mesa, CA office as needed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

• Conceptualize and create content for digital advertising platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube. 
• Collaborate with Designers, Copywriters, Developers, Program Managers, Art Directors, and Creative Directors.
• Manage timelines, prioritization, and execution of creative tasks; from conception to completion.
• Apply best practices and design systems regarding email campaigns (both static/dynamic).
• Conduct press checks in person when needed.
• Be proactive in finding creative solutions for campaigns, processes, workflows, and team communications.
• Be proficient in coordinating file management and adhering to file processes.
• Lead by example; push and create designs that are both beautiful in execution and functional in strategy.
• Be accountable for projects, and have such passion and ownership of the task that you never miss deadlines, unless absolutely necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with the team through mentorship of junior designers and interns.
• Stay current with design and industry trends.
• Communicate appropriately, and as needed, with other designers as well as other members of the Full Bars team.
• Business hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Pacific Standard Time

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 5-7 years of graphic design experience in digitally native creative.
• Online Portfolio reflecting strong digital and print projects/campaigns showcasing an extensive knowledge of the principles of concept, composition, color, layout, and typography. 
• Demonstrates extensive experience and proficiency with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud; Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. 
• Extensive knowledge of print design, proofing of print assets, and conducting press checks. 
• Familiar with Figma and digital/web-based projects (ex. Social Media, Websites, Apps, etc.)
• Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of UX/UI design. 
• Excellent understanding of email interfaces within Mailchimp and/or Braze, as well as email/mail client design limitations (ex. Designing for Dark Mode). 
• Familiar with Google Apps, specifically Meets/Hangouts, Drive, Sheets, and Docs.
• Professional interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of team members. 
• Impeccable time/project management skills regarding deadlines and communication.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment by handling a variety of projects simultaneously. 
• Comfortable with Apple/Mac desktop technology and programs. 
• Agency experience + 
• Experience using Slack + 
• Coding/Programming Background +

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $85,000 - $95,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
