We are looking for a kingdom-minded, creative, and talented Senior Graphic Designer to help expand Bethel’s digital and creative footprint, brand awareness, and global impact through the gift of design! The Senior Graphic Designer reports to the Design Lead under the covering of the Creative & Story Director and Manager. As a Senior Designer, you will be a highly creative and strategically minded designer. The goal is to provide Bethel with high level brand and design support that meets the needs and goals of Bethel and her associated ministries. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques. You should also have experience executing design projects from conception to production, including websites, photoshoots, print and merchandise. You will also need to coordinate with Project Managers and the Design Lead towards producing high-quality designs. Your contribution will help move the mission of Bethel Church forward—to see revival change the world—through creating functional, aesthetic and viable designs to be implemented.

Salary: $31,824.00 - $63,648.00
Responsibilities :
Create:
- Interpret project narratives and visually represent them.
- Illustrate concepts by sketching preliminary layouts for art and text, focusing on arrangement, size, typography, and aesthetic elements.
- Secure brand direction approval through several presentations to the Creative & Story Director, Design Lead, and project stakeholders, incorporating feedback throughout the process.
- Develop brand briefs for each project that outline the art direction, serving as a visual reference for all marketing assets.
- Generate original and distinctive designs and illustrations.
- Select appropriate images, typography, graphics, and layouts for each project.
- Design and supervise Intermediate or Junior Designers in creating all project assets.
- Assist during project shoots to maintain brand integrity and consistency.
- Communicate openly with the team about any project-related concerns or team dynamics.
- Apply a keen eye for aesthetics and visual specifics to ensure a high-quality finished product.
- Ensure that produced materials are user-friendly and uphold brand consistency across all projects.
- Stay informed about evolving trends and best practices within the industry.
Implement:
- Collaborate with the Design Lead, marketers, and other team members to devise strategies aligned with project goals and vision.
- Work with the Project Manager and various teams to facilitate a seamless workflow.
- Understand design requirements, generate ideas, and communicate them effectively to clients and team members.
- Create detailed execution plans for projects and see them through to completion.
- Keep abreast of best practices and adapt strategies as necessary.
Management:
- Oversee the quality and excellence of all designed materials, ensuring comprehensive oversight of designer projects.
- Assist the Design Lead in fostering a positive team culture and establishing best practices for the design team's creative workflow.
- Delegate design tasks while offering support to intermediate and junior design team members.
- Review the work of Intermediate and Junior designers, providing constructive guidance and feedback.
- Maintain high standards of quality, ensuring that only the best outputs are delivered to Bethel and its associated ministries.
- Collaborate throughout the organization to enhance creative standards.
Report:
- Participate in regular meetings and check-ins with the Design Lead to discuss any workflow challenges or team health issues.
Requirements
- Believes and adheres to the beliefs of and vision of Bethel Church and is able to make decisions in line with the core values
- Should be comfortable representing the team in this heart for certain collaborative meetings.
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
- Conceptualize and develop looks alongside the Design Lead that effective communicate the creative vision and heart of Bethel Church’s ministries and events
- A good understanding of best design practice (and ability to design) for paid, owned and earned media platforms
- Be comfortable accepting client briefs and creative direction
- Should be able to see through projects with minimal direction or feedback needed
- Ability to adapt to quick turnarounds or brand direction changes
- Be able to receive feedback of graphics and/or ideas
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to team and stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
- Fluent in graphic design programs such as: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch
- Portfolio of completed design projects
- Good command over design techniques, photography and visual elements
- Good creative thinking with attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team, and lead a team in a time-bound environment
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills
- Hands-on experience with conceptualizing design projects, coordinating with creative teams and working on its execution
Preferred Qualifications - B.A in Design, Visual Arts, Visual Communication or a Related Field preferred, though not required
- Prior experience as a graphic designer, senior designer, or related role.
