Job Summary

Conceives, designs and produces creative solutions for a wide variety of marketing materials to meet advertising and other office, divisional and company goals. The senior graphic designer in the Baird & Warner marketing department works closely with the Creative Director on larger campaign projects.

This position will require 2 days/week of in-person working - at least one day at our Chicago loop office and second day at an office of your choice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Provide conceptual, design and layout support for all department projects, including interactive/online marketing, advertising, direct mail, social media as well as other company priorities, such as brand campaigns, recruiting, agent materials, office openings, internal communications and special events.
  2. Work with the Creative Director, Project Manager, Marketing Coordinator, the Marketing team, and the CMO and VP of Marketing to ensure that the finished product is in sync with the company’s high-quality brand standards.
  3. Assist team in fulfilling all ticket requests coming in from FreshDesk as well as Uniquely Branded projects (Baird & Warner custom agent projects).
  4. Assist CMO and VP of Marketing with the maintenance and development of the company’s brand identity and image across the integrated marketing communications spectrum.
  5. Deliver design solution consulting to select individual top sales associates.
  6. Complete projects by coordinating with internal clients, outside agencies, service providers, printers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent creative talent with an eye for detail, imagery, color, typography and overall composition; strong problem solver; great organizational skills; and able to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Ability to organize complex and widely dispersed source materials into integrated, coherent finished deliverables (whether printed or web-based).
  • Creation of design solutions, from concept to completion, in a wide range of graphic applications including: collateral materials, brand identity, advertising, social media, and multimedia.
  • Expertise in the current InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Google Apps, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Figma and Premiere Pro is preferred.
  • Experience in email design preferred with knowledge of multiple platforms.
  • Experience with preparing files for printers and sign companies.
  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Strong copywriting skills are highly valued.
  • Event research, planning and production experience is highly valued.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BA degree in graphic design or related field is required.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of professional design experience.
  • All candidates must provide a comprehensive portfolio for consideration.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written skills required.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, research problems/questions as required.
