We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Graphic Designer to join our collaborative creative services team on a six-month fixed term contract to design marketing assets for our university partners.
You’ll play a vital role in creating, developing and delivering engaging and impactful visual content that effectively communicates campaign messages.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the fast-moving environment of an in-house production studio, can articulate design concepts and provide constructive feedback during the creative process.
Day to day, in this role you will:
- Interpret design briefs and translate concepts into compelling visual solutions that meet university partner objectives and brand guidelines
- Develop and execute multi-platform design assets, including but not limited to websites, brochures, presentations, course guides, social media, digital, print and videos
- Design impactful advertising campaigns for print, digital and social platforms
- Coordinate the day-to-day administration and publishing of design assets on university partner websites
- Maintain and update style guides to ensure consistency across all design work
- Collaborate with a cross-functional Agile team of copywriters, marketing specialists, SEO and PPC managers to deliver excellent creative outputs
- Work closely with copywriters to ensure that the visuals and messaging are aligned
- Implement innovative approaches to visual content creation, including the integration of AI tools
- Learn emerging technologies to enhance design production efficiency and effectiveness
- Apply a deep understanding of design principles and industry trends to employ best practices
- Contribute to a team culture of creativity, collaboration and life-long learning
We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- 5+ years of mid-level graphic design experience (in-house agency or creative agency)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in graphic design, communications or a related field
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects, highlighting creativity, attention to detail, and technical skills
- High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are essential, After Effects and Premiere Pro are highly regarded)
- Experience in online design tools (e.g, Figma, Creatopy)
- Experience managing websites through a CMS platform is essential (e.g. Drupal 10)
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Trello, Asana)
- Experience in generative AI tools highly regarded (e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly)
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and be an Agile advocate
