The Dangote Cement Plc is actively seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Senior General Manager of Electrical Engineering for our state-of-the-art Ibese cement plant. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage all electrical engineering functions within the plant, ensuring that our operations are not only efficient but also in alignment with industry best practices. Your expertise will be vital in driving improvements and innovations in our electrical systems, ultimately contributing to the overarching goal of enhancing productivity and operational excellence across all facets of the cement manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for electrical engineering operations at the cement plant to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment at the cement plant.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other departments such as production, maintenance, and safety to ensure seamless operations across the cement plant.
- Develop and manage the budget for the electrical engineering department and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of electrical engineering activities at the cement plant.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of electrical engineering services.
Requirements
- BSc./HND or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 27 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation management, preferably in the cement industry, with 10 years at in Senior Leadership Capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing plant.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and executing electrical engineering strategies to achieve operational goals.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
