The Position:

The goal of GameChanger's Volleyball team is to make our app the premier experience for volleyball coaches, players, and fans to cover games through scorekeeping, streaming, and sharing content. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll use modern tools to develop features on the web and across the stack. You will build engaging user-facing features by contributing your expertise, writing code, and making architectural decisions on a team of Product Managers, Designers, QA Analysts, and Engineers. You will report to one of our Engineering Managers.

What You'll Do:

  • Build features for community engagement, scorekeeping, fan experiences, and team management throughout the stack, focusing on our web app and backend.
  • Collaborate with peers on critical decisions about how our applications are architected and built.
  • Team up with designers, testers, and product managers to find the best solutions for our customers.
  • Teach and learn with engineers across the company.
  • Promote responsible engineering practices.

Who You Are:

  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
  • Track record of successful projects utilizing JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Experience shipping beautiful, high-quality websites and performant server-side code.
  • Passion and savvy working with the latest in web and server development tech.
  • Comfort working in a multi-disciplined product team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring engineers.

Experience:

  • Our web app client is a React and Redux application written in TypeScript.
  • Our backend APIs are built with TypeScript, Node.js, Redis, and PostgreSQL and run in AWS. 
  • Your team will also be doing iOS and Android development in Swift and Kotlin. It’s not required that you know these, but you should be open to mobile development.

The target salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $210,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.
