This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining top-tier software solutions tailored to meet our client’s specific needs. Our client, a leading Chicago-based non-profit, provides support for continuing medical education for physicians.
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer who will bring a robust background in software development, coupled with expertise in the applicable programming languages and the .NET framework. You will play a significant role in the software development lifecycle, from initial design and coding to rigorous testing and seamless deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain client web applications using .NET languages (C#, VB.NET) and technologies (ASP.NET, .NET Core).
- Create user interfaces with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js to deliver a responsive and engaging user experience.
- Develop and consume web services, with RESTful APIs, to facilitate communication between the client-side and server-side components.
- Implement data storage solutions using databases like SQL Server and write efficient data access code with Entity Framework or ADO.NET.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security through best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and developers to define and meet project milestones.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure quality.
- Stay current with the latest developments in the .NET platform and web technologies.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to support.
- Provide technical guidance to other team members and stakeholders, including troubleshooting and resolving issues post-deployment.
Requirements
- You are proficient in C# programming language and .NET platform.
- You are proficient in using ASP.NET to build APIs and backend web services.
- You are proficient in writing software tests (unit and integration tests)
- You have proven experience (5+ years) designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust backend systems, including work with microservices architecture.
- You have a deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and large-scale distributed applications.
- You have experience with JSON, XML, and /or gRPC.
- You have strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a diverse audience.
- You have experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- You have expertise with data storage solutions ( SQL and NoSQL databases) and data processing Frameworks.
Additional Considerations:
- Prior experience with healthcare technologies or education platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for scalable deployments.
