About the role

Appfire is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to become an early protagonist role in JXL for Jira, one of the fastest growing paid apps on the Atlassian Marketplace ever, and a bold venture to make the world's most used project management software more accessible to everyone. You'll change how Jira can be used by millions of people every day. Your code will have deep impact on how they collaborate, structure their work, and get things done, how they create ideas, build products, provide services, preserve the environment, and explore the cosmos.

JXL is a new member of the Appfire family of apps. It was co-founded by ex-Atlassians, who draw on more than 15 years of combined experience at the company. The JXL team's passion is crafting beautiful software that really helps people get their job done. Expect a nimble, focussed, and fun team, always proud of what we ship to customers, and a fast-paced, collaborative environment with no unnecessary meetings.

Your everyday tasks will include:

  • Working on new and existing functionalities of the JXL app
  • Collaborating closely with the team
  • Brainstorming new ideas and solutions

Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:

  • Empathy, open-mindedness, communication, and debate skills
  • intrinsic drive to create and do, more than just talk
  • Strong, proven experience and track record developing complex web-based applications
  • Expertise in web technologies, concretely including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Emotion, Next.js
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to decompose complex problems, and calmness in the face of ambiguity
  • Deep architectural understanding of web applications, including performance, quality, and security aspects
  • Near-perfectionist attention to detail, passion and aspiration for clean code, purposeful software architecture and experience design
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluent written and spoken command of English

Salary

  • Perm (UoP): 18 360 - 25 125 PLN gross/month
