As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to play a vital role in advancing our customer-centric platform.

The Role: As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Raft, you’ll lead the development of our flagship, user-facing application and contribute significantly to shaping the visual and interactive components of our platform. You’ll balance user experience with technical performance, crafting an interface that is both beautiful and high-performing. Working cross-functionally with product, design, machine learning, and backend teams, you will ensure that our frontend not only meets current needs but also scales to support future enhancements in real-time functionality and complex data visualization. This is an opportunity for an experienced frontend engineer to take ownership of impactful features, bringing the best of modern frontend practices to our logistics platform.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Drive development on our flagship, customer-facing application, creating an intuitive, robust, and visually compelling user interface.
• Collaborate on internal tooling and reusable frontend components that enhance productivity and maintainability across teams.
• Build complex application behaviours, including real-time data visualisations and dynamic interactions, to provide a seamless user experience.
• Maintain and optimise our frontend infrastructure and development environment, ensuring performance and consistency.

Partner closely with  Product and Design teams to align technical implementation in a product-driven environment where your contributions shape real-world solutions for a global customer base.

Requirements

We Specifically Want Someone Who:

• Is a JavaScript and TypeScript expert with deep knowledge of modern frameworks, particularly React, and an eye for building scalable and testable code.
• Architects and tests high-quality, reusable components that integrate seamlessly into our evolving platform.
• Has advanced experience managing complex data flows and state management in the frontend, with familiarity in syncing data via HTTP and WebSockets.
• Thrives in cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with teams across product, design, and engineering, including Machine Learning specialists.
• Brings 5+ years of frontend development experience with commercial projects that demonstrate a clear, measurable impact on user experience and business goals.
