Mylo is a dynamic fintech startup operating in the consumer finance space. We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior FP&A Analyst to join our finance team.
The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in driving Mylo's financial strategy and decision-making. This individual will leverage their deep understanding of the consumer finance industry and strong financial modeling skills to provide actionable insights that support business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop and maintain robust financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance, profitability, and trend analysis.
- Reporting and Insights: Prepare and present clear and concise financial reports and presentations to senior management, translating complex data into clear dashboards and actionable insights.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, relevance and timeliness.
- Performance Measurement: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Technology Optimization: Leverage FP&A software and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and streamline reporting processes.
- Business Influence: Provide financial insights and recommendations to influence key business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the consumer finance or fintech industry.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling software).
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in finance or a related field.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis systems (FP&A software).
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
