Senior Flutter Engineer, In-Store and Merchant Operations

This is a high-autonomy role with a focus on experimentation, and problem-solving. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, analysts, and designers to develop solutions that help our Merchants thrive.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a team responsible for creating full-stack solutions. You’ll design, build, and maintain highly available systems, ensuring scalability and seamless integration with other core services.

Your role will require an ability to handle ambiguity and rapid changes while maintaining a focus on quality and high performance. This is a unique opportunity to work on a new product that will significantly impact how merchants operate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and scale backend services.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Navigate technical challenges associated with building a system at scale.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and be responsible for the overall system design.
  • Drive innovation and help establish best practices for the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

📍This role can be based in one of our tech hubs in Helsinki, Stockholm, Tallinn, or Berlin.

  • Experience in multiple technologies such as Flutter, Kotlin, and Golang.
  • Experience with AWS/GCP for cloud computing and deployments.
  • Expertise in high-availability systems and ensuring system reliability.
  • Strong system design skills and experience operating at scale.
  • A demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions with a high degree of autonomy, and handle ambiguity effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves:
Willingness to travel to the US for potential team meetings and collaboration.
Experience working in start-up environments or with early-stage product development.
