SR. FLIGHT SOFTWARE ENGINEER
As Head of Flight Software you will lead architectural design and day-to-day management of your team of engineers responsible for the delivery of reliable, scalable, and testable software on our launch vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop highly reliable autonomous flight software.
- Own flight software development from conception to flight-ready systems through design, development, testing, and integration.
- Champion safety, reliability, and testability.
- Collaborate with your FSW team on architectural decisions, investigations, troubleshooting issues, and designing solutions.
- Contribute to the development of feature, regression, SIL, and HIL testing.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical Engineering (EE), or other relevant field.
- 5+ years experience in the development of high reliability software.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency with C++, Python, and Linux.
- Experience in designing fault tolerant or fail safe architectures.
- Experience developing software for physical systems that employ sensors, real-time planning and control, commanding of actuators or motors, wired communications or RF transceivers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment, unless working outdoors is necessary to complete audits, safety inspections, trainings or investigations
- Travel up to 25% to ABL sites, customers, and vendors
