The Senior Financial Analyst, Growth will play a critical role in driving the Company’s future growth pipeline. This position will be fully dedicated to building financial models for all future new stores, new real estate formats, as well as renovations and remodels. The role will consist of measuring various format options and determining the ideal return on investment based on specific buildout, revenue, and operating assumptions.
The Senior Financial Analyst, Growth will be responsible for:
- Forecasting revenue and profit/loss statements for new real estate and/or alternative revenue stream opportunities that support specific market growth strategies
- Lead ad-hoc research projects to better understand customer behavior, size growth opportunities, and create financial models for new initiatives
- Utilize Sitewise Analytics to model revenue projections for new store opportunities across the U.S.
- Leverage Sitewise Analytics to assist with market planning roadmap, whitespace analysis, site evaluation, and demo/psycho analysis
- Own the Company’s revenue regression model; key thought leader in understanding which variables have the most significant impact on the Company’s revenue trend line (competition, positioning, trade area, demographics, psychographics, format, income levels, etc.)
- Prepare executive level presentations for monthly Market Planning and Capital Committee meetings
- Advise Executive Team on strategic initiatives and priorities for both organic and inorganic (M&A) growth
- Assess acquisition and lease takeover opportunities through market research and financial modeling
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, real estate, management consulting or corporate development
- Restaurant industry or multi-unit experience is preferred
- Experience with detailed sales (regression) forecasting and modeling
- Successful background in analyzing & building operating P&Ls and long-range discounted cash flow models
- Experience data mining in EPM systems such as IBM Planning Analytics and/or Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
- Other desired systems experience includes Buxton and/or Sitewise or other mobile data tracking software program
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 10% of work schedule
