Senior Financial Accountant

Together with 270 colleagues from over 35 nationalities, we have the ambition to build Europe's best fast-charging network. Our goal is a European network of 1,000 fast charging stations in prime locations where electric drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind. We have recently been voted the best charging network in the UK, France and the Netherlands, which is a testimony to our drive to offer the best charging experience to EV drivers.

As Senior Financial Accountant your main responsibility is to take ownership of the full financial administration of the Belgium entity. Additionally, you will be supporting the audit and improvement projects. The role will be based in our Ghent office, where you will be part of a fun and diverse team with over 35 nationalities!

Your role

• Daily accounting for Fastned Belgium including reviewing incoming invoices, and preparation of payment runs and journal postings;
• Performing month-end close activities and monitoring of trial balance data;
• Assisting with the preparation of group and subsidiary statutory accounts, including files and information for our auditors;
• Preparing monthly indirect tax filings and subsidy claims;
• Debtor and creditor management and follow-up of overdue items;
• Managing local statutory audits and reviewing local annual financial statements;
• Contributing to improving financial procedures and work practices in a rapidly growing business environment.
