Your mission

We are looking for a Finance Officer / Accountant to join our fast-developing international company. The position is reporting to the Finance Team Lead based in Iasi, Romania. 

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.  
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting/finance, and a deep understanding of accounting rules and principles. 
  • A result-oriented person, focused on getting the job done, optimistic and open to learning new things. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and complex organization. 
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills. 
  • Advanced Excel skills; Excel Power Query knowledge is a plus. 
  • Very good command of English.  

Would be a plus 

  • Experience in a multinational environment. 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform daily accounting and operational activities for Nuvei companies (mainly the Netherlands) – including but not limited to booking accruals, prepaid expenses, invoices, monthly closing JEs, maintaining trade payable/receivable ledgers, etc. 
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process by performing balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, etc. 
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant reports and various analysis to management, on request. 
  • Participate in statutory/group audits by preparing reports or gathering the info requested by internal/external auditors.
