The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center, is seeking a driven professional to join its dynamic team in headquarters in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka, as a Senior Finance Officer - Financial Reporting & Auditing*.
The successful candidate will lead the Donor Financial Reporting team by overseeing the financial management and reporting of donor-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor regulations. Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of financial accountability, transparency, and efficiency. Coordinate the project audits and donor-commissioned audits to ensure that project audits are conducted effectively, in compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies, and financial integrity is upheld. This role also requires a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to assess and improve project financial management practices.

This is a nationally recruited position and only Sri Lankan nationals will be considered. IWMI offers a competitive salary and benefits package, inclusive of health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and long-term disability coverage. The duration of the contract will initially be for a period of three years with the possibility of extension.
*Please note that the position is advertised under the title Senior Finance Officer - Financial Reporting & Auditing; however, the successful candidate's job title will be Senior Grants Officer, in accordance with IWMI's job title guidelines.
