Senior Finance & Billing Specialist

Opportunity:

The Senior Finance & Billing Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining and managing the billing and collections profile for an assigned list of partners.  You will act as an advisor to Partners and Directors, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and according to accounting standards.  This position requires a strong understanding of billing processes, excellent communication skills, a relentless focus on customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end invoicing and payment processes from contract to cash receipts
  • Prepare, review, and submit client invoices in accordance with contractual terms
  • Review project expenses to ensure billable costs are invoiced timely and non-billable costs are reflected accurately
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with Partners/Directors by focusing on opportunities to provide exceptional client service and timely updates regarding client portfolios
  • Address and resolve billing inquiries and disputes from stakeholders promptly and professionally
  • Participate in the collections process, resolving delinquent accounts in a timely manner according to company policy and escalating appropriately to management
  • Month end close activities, including reconciliations of revenue, accrued income, work-in-process and accounts receivable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 8+ years’ experience in billing and collections within the professional services industry
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, accountability and integrity
  • Detail oriented, well organized and flexible
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete assignments with short deadlines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics a plus

Compensation

The applicant who is selected for this position will be eligible for the following compensation: 

In New York City, the annual compensation for this role will be $90,000 - $110,000.

If an offer is extended to an applicant in New York, the applicant will be paid in line with this range and based on the applicant’s experience and qualifications. This range applies only to the New York position, and salaries in other offices and regions will vary based on an applicant’s experience and qualifications, as well as the competitive landscape.
