This is a role based in Ireland but it can be remote.
The role:

Our fact-checkers research and write original, high-quality fact checks and analysis pieces to strict editorial standards and tight deadlines for a mix of audiences, from the readers of our website to private and public sector clients. We also work closely with major social media companies to moderate misinformative content on their platforms.
As Logically Facts’ senior fact-checker, you will work in a diverse and multilingual team of fact-checkers making a direct contribution to our mission to understand and combat mis and disinformation.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate in a wide range of fact-checking initiatives and in the development of our fact-checking technology and products.

Primary Responsibilities
Independently discover misleading claims with the use of different platforms and techniques. 
Write original and high-quality fact-checks to strict editorial standards and tight deadlines using OSINT techniques.
Write news reports and long-form analysis pieces related to the subject of mis/disinformation.
Work on content moderation and fact-checking projects with social media platforms.

Essential Skills and Experience
Professional newsroom, fact-checking, or other editorial experience of at least 2-3 years.
Advance OSINT skills and experience using different tools and techniques to verify content.
You can help your colleagues to improve their OSINT skills.
You discover and flag misleading claims using different platforms and techniques.
You proactively pitch ideas around misleading claims that can be fact-checked. You can research and write original, high-quality fact-check reports to strict editorial standards and tight deadlines.
You have strong analytical skills and can remain impartial and critical while writing on complex and sensitive topics.
You have the ability to grasp new and complicated information quickly.
You have a strong understanding of the political and media landscape in Ireland.
Deep understanding of the misinfo and disinformation space and the main challenges and dynamics of the fact-checking industry.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience mentoring fact-checkers on OSINT techniques
An understanding of the political and media landscape in Ireland and Europe 
Expertise in a complementary discipline or subject (e.g. Economics, Politics, International Relations, Public Health, National Security)
