Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Facility and Production Engineer to oversee and develop review and improve the production systems of our client’s gas and crude oil factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.
The ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader, Engineering knowledge, great attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role.
Responsibilities
Facility Management
- Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
- Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events.
- Determine which equipment will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility.
- Educate employees on proper methods to operate machinery.
- Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems.
- Hire technicians to maintain equipment.
- Work within set budgetary plans for the project.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain material or equipment needed.
Production Management
- Plan, manage and oversee production.
- Design and implement cost-reductive changes.
- Develop and improve production process.
- Maximise productivity of machinery and workers.
- Assess and analyse current production methods.
- Follow product specifications and quality control measures.
- Train, supervise, and manage production line workers.
- Ensure the production line is adequately staffed.
- Increase speed and efficiency of processes.
- Ensure all steps of production run efficiently.
- Develop and implement quality control measures.
- Work within set budgetary plans for the project.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed.
Requirements
Requirements and Skills
- Proven 10 - 15 years engineering work experience in Oil and Gas
- BSC degree in Engineering or relevant field.
- Relevant Engineering certification.
- Deep knowledge of production management.
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
- Communication ability.
- Ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained.
- Ability to maintain basic records and warranties.
- Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites.
