As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our observability capabilities and maintaining high reliability standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Defining observability standards and propose best practices for distributed tracing, monitoring and logging within a serverless ecosystem.
- Developing and maintaining an observability stack that product-focused teams can easily integrate into their services.
- Supporting engineering teams in defining and monitoring Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs), ensuring both technical and business metrics are captured.
- Facilitating efficient incident management and disaster recovery processes, from initial response to postmortem analysis.
- Manage on-call rotations and improve communication during incidents, both internally and externally.
- Driving initiatives in resiliency and reliability, including chaos engineering, to proactively address potential service disruptions before they impact users.
- Leading educational efforts to improve use of tools like Datadog.
You must Have...
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Experience with AWS serverless ecosystem.
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency in using Datadog for observability.
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
It would be nice to have...
- Familiarity with AWS CDK and AWS X-Ray.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or similar certification.
- Experience in managing incident communication processes and on-call rotations.
