The Senior Event Ops Manager exhibits advanced wide-ranging experience, using in-depth professional knowledge, acumen, concepts and company objectives to develop, and resolve complex procedures. Provides solutions to issues in creative and effective ways. Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines. This role is essential in steering the effective management of projects, ensuring cost compliance, timeline and quality benchmarks, in alignment with company guidelines and policies.
A primary objective of this position is to ensure the proficient execution of projects, aligning seamlessly with EFG's overarching business objectives and guidelines. Additionally, it assumes a pivotal role in operational planning, cost management & reporting, supplier & vendor coordination, and issue resolution to deliver projects of exceptional quality.
Responsibilities:
- Executional ownership and Vendor Management: Lead and direct project activities by collaborating with suppliers and departments to ensure projects are executed within the planned scope and budget. Frequently advises others on complex matters. Is accountable through the team for the delivery of operational event management.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop, plan, execute, report and successfully complete operational delivery of assigned projects, adhering to the defined project scope. The main areas of responsibilities range from owning & managing the event production schedule, planning equipment needs & handling sourcing to the calculation of power requirements across all venues & stages/studios.
- Follow clear project timelines: Deliverables, and goals, and ensure accountability among team members for their respective contributions. Lead and improve for better optimization.
- Vendor Management: Identify and liaise with vendors and sponsors for event support together with Procurement. Negotiate contracts, manage costs, and ensure all agreements are fulfilled. Maintain strong relationships with partners in the esports industry. Anticipate vendor changes and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the overall experience in a cost-conscious way.
- Financial Management: This role must effectively deliver cost estimations & proposals together with the procurement team. Ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets, as well as identifying opportunities to optimise cost efficiencies and maximise return on investment for each project.
- Workflow Optimization: Follow and advance established workflows and project processes, both internally and externally. This includes driving how to work with stakeholders to ensure efficient collaboration.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve emerging problems that may arise during the course of projects. Utilise problem-solving skills to find appropriate solutions and mitigate risks.
- Operational Communication: Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders regarding operational issues, if applicable, to facilitate effective resolution and communication. Drive initiatives on ensuring the same issues should not arise again.
- Delegation and support: Serve as a coaching and guiding resource to the Project team, with task allocation and delegation as well as coaching. Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. This role is closely working with the Project Operations team and relying on their guidance around scope, budget & requirements.
- Other: Perform other tasks within the scope of the role.
