***Preference is to be based out of the Stamford, CT or New York, NY office, but the location of this position can be flexible with an availability for working in one of our office locations-- Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.***  

Octagon is seeking a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to take the lead in planning, executing, and overseeing events and experiential marketing programs for an action-packed Arts & Culture calendar for our luxury automotive client. In this role, the SAE will be responsible for managing event logistics, partnerships, and client services while ensuring the successful implementation of our client's goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will lead the ideation, planning, and execution of various events across the nation, working closely with multiple vendors, agency partners, and internal divisions. This position demands a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable reporting directly to clients, leading weekly status calls, and managing onsite staff. The role requires travel and flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Conduct pre-planning management and implementation for Arts & Culture events
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, vendors, venues, and partners
  • Assist with strategic planning of the Arts & Culture schedule
  • Work closely with the core team in planning and implementing key program elements
  • Work with the team’s Account Executive on internal documentation, vendor research, event communications, creation of POs, post-event recap decks, program guides and training materials, among other administrative tasks
  • Lead all aspects of the budgeting process for each event, ensuring that all expenditures align with the approved budget
  • Assist with upkeep of fleet vehicles and overall logistics of vehicles
  • Support analysis and assessment of all program vendors
  • Serve as program lead onsite at select events
  • Other related duties as reasonably assigned

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years agency/client experience
  • Automotive industry product knowledge would be a plus
  • Ability to maintain relationships with multiple internal/external partners (e.g. venues, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Effective leadership skills to manage and mentor event coordinators
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage strict timelines, work under pressure, and manage budgets through reconciliation
  • Excellent communication, writing, and client service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)

This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
