We are seeking a Project Manager who not only oversees our environmental investigation and remediation projects but also brings a wealth of experience utilizing cutting-edge technologies in this field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of employing innovative solutions to enhance site investigations and streamline remediation processes, ensuring that Weston remains at the forefront of industry advancements. This role requires a dynamic individual who can integrate new technologies into project management to deliver exceptional results for our clients and stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will have regulatory expertise in CERCLA, RCRA, and IEPA Site Remediation Program.

Expected Outcome:
- Manages project teams by clearly communicating expectations for project requirements, scope, schedule, and budget, with a particular focus on integrating innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Manages large and complex projects that leverage cutting-edge solutions, involving multiple subcontractors and internal team members.
- Identifies and nurtures project and construction management talent, encouraging their development and empowerment, especially in the application of new technologies.
- Provides strong technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
- Sets a common vision that includes the adoption and implementation of advanced technological tools for project success.
- Can identify and recruit appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with expertise in innovative technologies to participate with the team.
- Communicates with and aligns teams beyond the scope of work to maximize outcomes for all stakeholders, utilizing technological advancements to achieve these goals.
- Manages and communicates project changes with the client and the project team, ensuring that technological innovations are effectively integrated.
- Consistently meets or out-performs planned project profitability and metrics (NIBT, profit margins, DSO, etc.) on projects with moderate risk, attributing success to the strategic use of innovative technologies.
- Manages quality and H&S to achieve zero accidents and ensure quality goals are met, supported by state-of-the-art technologies.
- Assists with proposal efforts, including costing and profitability planning; offers value-engineering solutions that include modern technological approaches.
- Able to understand and articulate project scope based upon RFP and/or contract, with a keen eye for opportunities to apply innovative solutions.
- Proactively identifies project issues and develops options for corrective action, considering the potential of emerging technologies.
- Ensures timely and accurate submittal of invoices, monitoring and reporting the status of accounts receivable, and recommends appropriate action on overdue accounts, utilizing technology-driven processes.
- Complies with WESTON purchasing and subcontracting requirements, incorporating technological efficiencies.
- Procures additional follow-on work of varying types from clients/stakeholders, demonstrating the value added by innovative technological practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or geology or environmental related degree from an accredited university, with a strong emphasis on technological applications in these fields.
- Ten (10) + years’ experience in the environmental field, with significant exposure to innovative technologies for site investigation and remediation.
- Five (5) + years’ experience with project management, including the management of projects that incorporate advanced technological tools.
- Five (5) + years’ experience with construction management, observation, or administration, with a preference for those who have utilized cutting-edge technologies in these areas.
- Preferred experience includes:
- Regulatory expertise in CERCLA/RCRA processes and reporting requirements, with an understanding of how technology can streamline these processes.
- An aptitude to understand and implement state regulations (i.e., various state LUST and/or voluntary remediation programs), with a focus on how innovative technologies can enhance compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, negotiate and lead regulatory and closure discussions, leveraging technological advancements.
- Promotes an environment where Weston team members establish relationships and build trust with their clients and stakeholder counterparts, facilitated using effective technologies.
- Ability to excel at managing scope, schedule, and budget, with a proficiency in applying innovative technological solutions.
