Nevada Gold Mines, a world-class gold mining company, is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Carlin Environmental department. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Environmental Engineer will:
Waste Management: Oversee the company's waste program, ensuring compliance with all RCRA requirements for Large Quantity Generators (LQG) and Small Quantity Generators (SQG). This includes managing inspections, waste profiling and determinations, shipments, and manifesting.
Regulatory Compliance: Complete Toxic Release Inventory Reporting and conduct inspections to ensure permit compliance. Accompany regulatory inspectors during periodic site visits.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop Environmental Engineers, Coordinators, and Technicians. Oversee data maintenance, evaluation, and reporting to Barrick management and governmental agencies.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Assist operating division personnel in achieving objectives and supporting employee training initiatives.
Emergency Response: Participate in periodic, after-hours on-call response to environmental incidents as needed.
