We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to support our flights vertical — assisting the search steps at the core of Skyscanner’s user journey, where travellers make key decisions. What you can expect as a Senior Engineering Manager for Flights:
As a leader, you’ll oversee and grow three high-performing teams: two established teams across Barcelona and Scotland, plus a new team being formed in London. Working alongside these teams, you’ll champion robust, innovative solutions and steer our growth in global markets with a keen focus on action and delivery. With a strong background in full-stack development and experience scaling e-commerce in new markets, you’ll guide the technical vision and lead our journey toward faster, more user-friendly search and booking experiences.

What we’re looking for:
A Senior Engineering Manager with a full-stack background, skilled in building and scaling e-commerce solutions, with a track record of expanding into new markets. You’re adept at setting a vision and empowering teams in a high-autonomy, agile setting. An ideal fit would bring a strong bias toward action and accountability, with experience working in environments using web technologies such as React, Javascript, CSS and APIs (REST/gRPC). Exposure to back-end technologies, such as Java, in order to interact with downstream services would be also appreciated.
