About the role
The Global System Support Center is central point of contact for all regional Field Engineers to resolve the system related issues in Storage Business Unit. We work closely with all regional customer support and field application engineers. As Global System Support Engineer, you will work closely with Customer support, Quality, Data Analytics and HW/FW product engineering teams to identify the root cause for product failures reported from field and implement containments/corrective actions to manage the fleet quality.
What you will be doing
- Diagnose failing units in Field and help customer support team to confirm RMAs.

Provide subject matter expertise to field support teams in resolving customer issues.
- Drive the root cause analysis on field returns by coordinating with cross functional teams.

Create Failure Analysis Reports summarizing the customer problems, impact and result of the root cause analysis.
- Track the product failure rate by generating reports using administrative tools, database queries and internal tools.
- Develop innovative methods to identify critical failure modes and prevent/fix them prior to new product launches.
- Work with failure analysis and data analytics group to identify predictive tools/information to diagnose symptoms prior to product fail.
Who you are and what you bring

M.Tech/M.S/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Power systems
- 3-8 years of experience in failure analysis, product quality and reliability
- Knowledge on Power systems, Power electronic devices and Embedded systems.
- Good knowledge on PV & storage system and Grid related services are preferable.

Good hands on experience on schematic, electronic components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including information consolidation and presentation.
- Should have a “can do” attitude and team player in cross-functional environment.

Proactive, flexible, and innovative mindset with analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrating strong ownership.

Working experience in Unix/Linux environment. Networking, shell, python, databases.
- Basic programming skills and knowledge in at least one script language: Ruby, Bash, Perl, Python etc.
- Highly organized, able to multi-task, the ability to work individually, within a team and with other groups.
